Nostalgia
I was happiest with ivory under my fingertips. I was happiest with Chopin pouring out from my soul. I was happiest with a pencil in my left hand . . .drawing endless circles on the lines and spaces. I was happiest with Mozart in my ears. I was happiest when my voice joined the voices of the tenors and the altos and the basses and the sopranos.
I am happy now. And I'm honoring my body and mind in a way I never have before.
But I was happiest then.
