Can Liz leave Andy?
Maybe Liz is using Andy to justify feeling angry about making decisions she doesn't want to have to make. She loves it here. But she has work to do in this world. And as much as it hurts her, she has to leave this place. And it hurts because she doesn't connect to people so quickly. She watches other people talk so easily. Bond so quickly. And what takes them weeks will take her months. What takes them months will take her years. So it has been six years in this place - and her bonds are just starting to form. Her heart spasms at the thought of breaking them now. So when Andy snidely comments that her students will eat her alive, and rolls his eyes when she takes an interest in something new, and blames her for moving them to another state, and complains that she is ignoring him when she is working, she allows it to control her. Allows it to make her feel less. And she resents loving Andy. Because sometimes she feels like he is holding her back. Why is he the only one who thinks she can't do this? Well guess what, Andy? Liz can do this.
